So, here’s the news.
I have some incredibly important things to get off my chest, and I have been hoping to do this through a tiny chat, but I seem to have terrible timing. Regardless, here it is.
When I branched off and began this RP, it originally contained only the original cast members from Pirates of the Caribbean. At one point, I know I accepted OCs, but over the past few months, it appears that it’s turned into a bit of a free for all. The OCs have taken the main focus on this RP, and that’s well and fine in the right setting, but it’s not for this group. I’ve thought it over for a good two weeks, and I truly think it’s time for us to move forward with only our main characters (from the movies).
Characters such as
- Captain Hector Barbossa
- Lord Cutler Beckett
- Davy Jones
- Tia Dalma (Calypso)
- Will Turner
- (and more)
have all been inactive for months now. And even ones that have been inactive for a few weeks are mainly characters from the movies. To me, as the creator of this group, I find that unacceptable. Not only are these characters (and more), being neglected, but they are also sitting there, leaving no outside RPers the opportunity to play them.
Another thing is, from now on, people are only going to be allowed 2 characters. In the past few months, it’s apparent that we cannot maintain more than that in this RP. And this is not meant to offend anyone. In fact, I’m guilty of this myself. Which is why I’ll be taking only Captain Jack Sparrow and Ragetti from here on out. Governor Swann will be deactivated and put on the list for “Characters Needed”. For those of you with more than 2 characters, you’ll have to decide on which 2 characters (from the movies) you’d like to keep. The rest will be put on the list.
As for the smut, I would like them to be under the “Read More” option. We have younger RPers in this group, as well as younger followers that do not need to be reading that. If that’s a problem, then I apologize, but that’s how it’s going to be.
Also I do want to add, that if, and only if, you guys want to continue your OCs, we could potentially make a new RP, loosely based on Pirates of the Caribbean (or completely separate) that can include them. A lot of the OCs are great and I’m sure some of you have grown attached to them, we’re just not going to have them included in this particular RP any longer.
There is currently a tinychat open, for any questions, comments, insulting words, laughs, etc, and I will remain on it for the durration of the night (I’ve also made myself available on YIM, AIM and Skype).
